Ball Somewhat Hard (1-4-1) vs. Plague (4-1-1) – Sunday, October 25, 2020

Earning their first win of the season, Ball Somewhat Hard beat Plague 1-0 in Week 6 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Ball Somewhat Hard really brought it on D, beating their season goals against average of 3.0 GPG. To help earn the team the W, Erik Forman scored their only goal. The defenders did a great job in this game by helping Neil Thomas earn a shutout! Ball Somewhat Hard will begin their postseason journey coming up on Sunday morning against #7 seed FC Indy (2-3-1) in Round 1. The winner of this game will stay on the field and take on #2 seed Cat Facts FC (3-0-3) in the Quarterfinals. This was Plague’s first loss of the season, but they are so far ahead in the standings that it didn’t impact their #1 ranking in the league. FC Indy took home the narrow 2-1 victory. FC Indy really stepped up in this game, beating their average of 1.0 goals per game. Siddharth Bhaduri recorded a brace to help earn the club the W. The win moves FC Indy up into the #7 seed and will see them begin their postseason campaign coming up on Sunday against #10 seed Ball Somewhat Hard (1-4-1) in Round 1. The winner of this match will stay on the field and immediately take on #2 seed Cat Facts FC (3-0-3) in the Quarterfinals. INDY Team #5 really were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 2.0 goals per game this year. Chicago Brewers are heating up at the right time as they now have recorded back-to-back victories to close out their regular season schedule. Andrew Schenkel scored two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet for Chicago Brewers in this contest. This Week 6 victory moves Chicago Brewers up into the #4 seed and will see them take on this very same squad, #5 seed Fineberg (2-2-2) in the Quarterfinals coming up on Sunday. Fineberg really didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, scoring less than their average of 1.2 GPG for the year. Larry C. scored the only goal for Fineberg to get their team on the board.
