This is INDY Team #5’s first tie this season and they’re currently sitting in third place in the league standings with one more regular season game remaining on the schedule. In the tie, Christian Fleurent and Alfonso Chiong Li fired in one goal apiece for INDY Team #5 to help them earn this crucial Week 5 point. For INDY Team #5 they will face off with FC Indy (1-3-1) coming up in Week 6 to close out their regular season schedule. bend it like Beckham used their 2 goals scored in this game to boost their total goals this season to 9. Diego Venegas netted one goal and Stephen Ptucha knocked in the other for bend it like Beckham to help earn the group the point. Plague (4-0-1) vs. FC Indy (1-3-1) – Sunday, October 18, 2020

Plague were incredible on both sides of the pitch against FC Indy in Week 5 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League with a final score of 4-0. This is the second week in a row Plague took home the win. Four different players tallied their name onto the scorer’s sheet in this contest for Plague, with Nick Stuedemann firing in his fourth goal of the season to help seal this huge Week 5 victory. The defenders for Plague also did a great job in this game by helping GK Bogdan Horopciuc earn their fourth clean sheet of the season! Coming up in Week 6, Plague will try to lock up the overall #1 seed for the playoffs with a throwdown versus Ball Somewhat Hard (0-4-1). FC Indy were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this game and could not seem to find the back of the net. It was the second time this season that FC Indy has failed to find the back of the net in a game. Next up for FC Indy is a battle against INDY Team #5 (3-1-1), as they try to close out their regular season schedule on a high note.

 

Chicago Brewers (2-3) vs. Trash Foot (1-2-2) – Sunday, October 18, 2020

Chicago Brewers blanked Trash Foot with a final score of just 1-0 in Week 5 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Chicago Brewers really showed some fight in this one, earning the win, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 1.4. Alex Rivera helped Chicago Brewers tally all three points in the standings, scoring their only goal. The team’s goalkeeper, Priscilliano Suarez, got a clean sheet in this one. Fineberg (2-1-2) are next up on the docket for Chicago Brewers coming up in Week 6, as they look to improve their seeding for the postseason. Trash Foot were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this one and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. It was the second time this season that Trash Foot has failed to make it onto the scoreboard. Next up for Trash Foot is a battle against bend it like Beckham (1-1-3) coming up in Week 6, as they look to gain some positive momentum heading into the postseason.

 

No Punt Intended (1-3-1) vs. Ball Somewhat Hard (0-4-1) – Sunday, October 18, 2020

Both teams entered Week 5 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League looking for their first win of the season. With a final score of 4-2, No Punt Intended emerged with a huge win against Ball Somewhat Hard. No Punt Intended really showed up in this one, beating their average of 1.6 goals per game. Galymjohn Kuras and Jimmy Castellano each recorded a brace for No Punt Intended in this contest to help gain the club the W. Next up for No Punt Intended is a match-up against Cat Facts FC (3-0-2) coming up in Week 6 as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season.  Ball Somewhat Hard have had a rough season. It is week 5 and they are still sitting with just 1 point in the league standings. The losing team still had notable players however including Emil Ericson and Spenser Buenzli, who knocked in one goal apiece for Ball Somewhat Hard to help keep their squad in this game.
