It was a thrilling day for Cat Facts FC as they picked up a massive 2-1 win over FC Indy in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Cat Facts FC really showed up in this one, beating their average of 1.5 goals per game. Alex Perkowski and Abdulsalam Olaoye were the heroes for Cat Facts FC in this contest, knocking in one goal apiece to help lift their squad to their third win of the season. Cat Facts FC will try to remain undefeated coming up in Week 5 with another important contest against Fineberg (2-1-1). FC Indy have had a rough start to their season. They have played four games thus far and they have only scored a total of 4 goals. Amber Kaminski scored the only goal for FC Indy in this contest to save them from a shutout. Plague (3-0-1) are next up on the schedule for FC Indy, as they attempt to bounce back and record their second win of the season.

 

Fineberg (2-1-1) vs. Trash Foot (1-1-2) – Sunday, October 11, 2020

The offenses were filled with shot attempts, but goals were hard to come by as Fineberg and Trash Foot got together in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Both teams picked up a goal, and the defenses fought it out til the very end as Fineberg and Trash Foot picked up a 1-1 tie. This is Trash Foot’s second tie this season and they are currently sitting tied for fourth place in the league standings with five points. Rodrigo Diaz was the star player for Trash Foot this week. They scored the only goal for their team to help them prevent the loss. Fineberg used their 1 goals scored in this game to boost their total goals this season to 6. Larry C. scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team on the board. For Trash Foot next up is Chicago Brewers (1-3-0) coming up in Week 5 as they look to record their second win of the season. Exiting week 4, Fineberg will look ahead to Cat Facts FC (3-0-1) coming up in Week 5 as they attempt to secure their third win of the season.

 

INDY Team #5 (3-1) vs. Ball Somewhat Hard (0-3-1) – Sunday, October 11, 2020

INDY Team #5 were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Ball Somewhat Hard with a final score of 4-0. This win is the second in a row for INDY Team #5, and it bumps them into 2nd place in the league standings with 9 points. They are now just 1 point behind the co-leaders (Plague and Cat Facts FC) who each have 10 points. Alfonso Chiong Li and Quentin Drane each recorded a brace to provide the offensive fire power for INDY Team #5 in this contest. The defenders for INDY Team #5 did a great job in this game as well by helping Aaron Schiappa earn their first clean sheet of the season! Next up for INDY Team #5 is a contest against bend it like Beckham (1-1-2) coming up in Week 5 as they will look to take over sole possession of first place in the league standings. Ball Somewhat Hard struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. It was the second game in a row that Ball Somewhat Hard has failed to record a single goal. Ball Somewhat Hard looks to break their winless streak coming up in Week 5 with a match-up against another winless squad, No Punt Intended (0-3-1).

 

Plague (3-0-1) vs. Chicago Brewers (1-3) – Sunday, October 11, 2020

Plague shut out Chicago Brewers with a final score of just 1-0 in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Soccer League. Plague showed some toughness in this one, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 1.3. To steer the group’s attack, Simon Lockwood-Bean prevented the loss by scoring their only goal. The team’s goalkeeper, Bogdan Horopciuc, recorded their third clean sheet of the season to help secure their squad their third win of the season. Coming up in Week 5, Plague will attempt to take over sole possession of first place in the league standings with a showdown against FC Indy (1-2-1). Chicago Brewers did not have their best stuff in this one and could not seem to find the back of the net. It was the second time this season that Chicago Brewers failed to record a single goal. Next up for Chicago Brewers is a showdown against Trash Foot (1-1-2) coming up in Week 5, as they look to get back on track and notch their second win of the season.
