Treason (1-3) v. Legacy (1-2) – Sunday, October 11, and 2020

Treason came into this match-up looking to secure their first win of the season. Treason put 24 on the board and held Legacy to just 7 points in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. Treason showed up in this game, topping their average of 14.00 points per game. Treason QB Gregory Owens threw two TDs, connecting with Brandon Best and Eric Anthony, while also scampering one in with his legs to help fuel Treason to their first victory of the Fall campaign. Evil (1-3-0) are next up on the calendar for Treason coming up in Week 5, as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. Legacy did not have their best stuff in this one, scoring less than their average of 16.70 ppg this year. Michael Scherpenberg scored his first TD of the season for Legacy, rushing in their only score of the game. IV:XX really brought it in this game, beating their average of 19.60 points per game. QB Lorenzo Stephens delivered three TDs, hitting Chuck Hawkins for two of them. Todd Speight also got into the scoring action for IV:XX as they recorded their first rushing TD of the year. Next up for IV:XX is a showdown against The OGs (1-2-1) coming up in Week 5 as they look to record back-to-back victories for the second time this season. TEFLON did not have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, scoring less than their average of 17.80 points per game for the year. In the loss for TEFLON, QB Daniel hit Leonta Bennett for their only score in this game. Next up for TEFLON is a match-up against Reckless Abandon (3-2-0) coming up in Week 5, as they attempt to take their record back above the .500 mark.

 

Da Band (5-0) v. Evil (1-3) – Sunday, October 11, and 2020

Da Band and Evil lit up the scoreboard in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League, combining for 57 points. The final score of 37-20 reflects the hard work Da Band put into every minute of the game. Da Band are the highest-scoring team in the league for the season, averaging 24.8 points per game. QB Blake Hammond threw a season-high six touchdowns, connecting with Labrenthia for two of them. Da Band could not relish in this victory for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Reckless Abandon (3-2) as they were scheduled for the double header in Week 4. For Evil, QB John Bowles tossed three TD passes, hitting Lameisa Thomas for two of them. Da Band (5-0) v. Reckless Abandon (3-2) – Sunday, October 11, and 2020

With a final score of 21-12 over Reckless Abandon, Da Band maintain a zero in the loss column and walk away with a sweep in their Week 4 double-header. Da Band has won games in many different ways this season. It has overpowered teams, out-schemed opponents, and dub deep to overcome its own mistakes. In the second half of their double dip in Week 4, Da Band’s fast start helped them overcome all their mistakes en route to their 5th win this season. QB Blake Hammond tossed three more scores in this contest, hitting three different receivers along the way. QB Blake Hammond now leads the league with 19 total TDs! Da Band will look to stay perfect coming up in Week 5 with a date versus The OGs (1-2-1). Reckless Abandon really did not have their best stuff on the offensive end in this one, scoring less than their average of 16.80 ppg this season. In the loss, QB Josh Wagner hit Arteria Ziegler for two touchdowns. TEFLON (2-2-0) are next up on the calendar for Reckless Abandon, as they attempt to rebound from this tough Week 4 defeat.

 

NFG (1-2-1) v. The OGs (1-2-1) – Sunday, October 11, and 2020

Sometimes a tie can feel like a loss. Or sometimes it can feel like a win. Either way, both teams can take some good and some bad away from this contest. NFG and The OGs were extremely well-matched in this one and ended all tied up at 20-20 in Week 4 of the Sunday Lincoln Park Coed INT 8v8 Flag Football League. For NFG, QB James Davis delivered three tuddys, hitting Kamaria Beckley for two of them. Exiting week 4, NFG looks ahead to Legacy (1-2-0) who are next on the schedule as they will look to record their second win of the season. The OGs played well defensively in this contest as they held NFG to just 20 points, the least amount of points they have given up to an opponent since Week 1. For The OGs, QB Chaz Duson provided the offense, hitting Daavay Rivers for one of his three touchdowns. For The OGs they will attempt to hand Da Band (5-0-0) their first loss of the season coming up in Week 5.
