Fall 2020 Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Flag Football League Recap – Week 3

Shockers (3-0) v. INDY Team #4 (1-2) – Saturday, October 10, and 2020

Shockers came into Week 3 of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Flag Football as the only undefeated squad remaining in the league. Shockers jumped out to a huge lead in the first half, INDY Team #4 fought hard in the second half but the lead the Shockers got in the first half was too much as Shockers pulled away and won the game 46-18. The final score of 46-18 reflects the hard work Shockers put into every minute of the game. Shockers really decided to step up in this one, topping their average of 40.00 ppg. QB Mike accounted for all seven of his teams scores, throwing six touchdowns, hitting four different receivers along the way, while also scampering in one for good measure with his legs. Coming up in Week 4, Shockers battle against Can’t Find the Cleat (0-2-1) in an attempt to remain undefeated. In the loss for INDY Team #4, QB Chris Watson tossed three scores, hitting Katie Sluman for one of them. INDY Team #4 would need to put this lopsided loss behind them quickly as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Can’t Find the Cleat (0-2-1) as they had a double header on their slate in Week 3. Flags & Flasks (2-1) v. The Ogg Balls (1-2-1) – Saturday, October 10, and 2020

QB Matt Sandt was impressive. Carly may have been just as good. Together they could make Flag & Flasks quarterback situation one of the most lethal combos in the league after combining to throw seven TD passes in a 62-12 rout of The Ogg Balls in Week 3 of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Flag Football League. With a final score of 62-12, Flags & Flasks hope to keep their momentum going as they advance toward the playoffs. Flags & Flasks really showed up in this one, exceeding their average of 41.00 points per game. QB Matt Sandt was masterful in this performance for Flags & Flasks, delivering eight total TDs, six passing and two rushing. INDY Team #4 (1-2-0) are next up on the docket coming up in Week 4 for Flags & Flasks, as they look to keep it going. The Ogg Balls struggled on both sides of the ball in this Week 3 match-up. They were unable to get rolling on the offensive end in this game, scoring less than their average of 19.80 ppg this season. Defensively, the 62 points is the most any team has given up so far this season. In the loss for The Ogg Balls, QB Holden Ogg hit Cj for one of their two scores in this game. INDY Team #4 (1-2) v. Can’t Find the Cleat (0-2-1) – Saturday, October 10, and 2020

Can’t Find the Cleat forfeited to INDY Team #4 in Week 3 of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC/INT 8v8 Flag Football League as they could not field enough players to play a legal game. Coming up in Week 4, Can’t Find the Cleat will attempt to put a 1 in the win column against an undefeated Shockers (3-0-0) crew. INDY Team #4 picked up a crucial victory in this contest after suffering a tough defeat in the game before. It is their first W of the year and brings their record up to 1-2. Coming up in Week 4, INDY Team #4 has another double header on their slate as they will take on The Ogg Balls (1-2-1) before stepping right back onto the field to take on Flags & Flasks (2-1).
